Detected by AdvaICT’s FlowMon ADS solution

In October 2011 AdvaICT realized the Network Traffic Audit in the South Moravian Innovation Centre. The goal of the audit was to isolate the cause of the repeated blacklisting of the customer’s IP address. Every incident caused the blocking of the email traffic by other sides for several hours and required time-consuming, manual removing of the customer’s IP address from the blacklist.

The audit detected a client station under the operation of one of the incubated companies, which was infected by the malware that caused the blacklisting of the customer. Disconnecting the infected computer from the network solved the problem. The owner of the computer failed to run regular antivirus test for couple months and did not have any idea about the infection by malware, which was confirmed by the antivirus scan on given computer.

Thanks to the FlowMon ADS solution the problem was solved the very same day the solution was plugged into the customer’s network.
